Kelprojektas nominated to bidders list for NATO procurement projects

Kelprojektas, the largest Lithuanian company operating in the field of transport infrastructure design, was enlisted as a bidder for NATO procurement projects pursuant to the Order issued by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. The Company was nominated for the bidders list having successfully passed the procedures for ascertaining its reliability. The enlistment in the said list gives Kelprojektas the right to respond to calls for bids announced by NATO. Kelprojektas became the twenty-first Lithuanian company included in the bidders list for NATO procurement projects.

“This decision is a significant evaluation of our more than half a century of experience and expertise in the field of transport infrastructure engineering. The potential bidders are assessed in accordance with high financial, technical, professional and security reliability criteria of the Alliance. We have met all the requirements and from now on we can compete in global markets at the highest level,” said Algimantas Medžiaušis, General Director of Kelprojektas UAB.

Calls for bids announced by NATO relate to the fields of civil engineering, road and other infrastructure construction works, foodstuff supply, production of military uniforms and provision of medical and other types of services.
“We are entering the new markets steadfastly and are prepared to successfully compete in the international bids announced by the Alliance in the main fields of our operations, i.e. design of communication services, public use buildings and engineering networks,” said A. Medžiaušis.

To be eligible to respond to NATO calls for bids the company must be included in the list of reliable companies prepared by the Ministry of Economy. This list is a guarantee that the company is sufficiently secure and financially, professionally and technically capable of undertaking the project associated with the call for bidding.
