Kelprojektas awarded in the competition “Lithuanian BIM projects 2020”

In the competition “Lithuanian BIM Projects 2020” organized for the fifth year, UAB Kelprojektas was awarded in the nomination Best Transport Infrastructure BIM Project – a viaduct over the railway on the national road no. 170, Mažeikiai.
It is one of the largest viaducts in Western Lithuania.
During the preparation of the project, static information modeling technology (BIM) was used, which helps to work with high precision in real time, make changes quickly and prevent errors.
Autodesk Infraworks 360 software was used to quickly create 3D models to examine and analyze pre-project proposals, allowing the analysis of spatial data and the adoption of the most acceptable geometric position.
More detailed design of building and engineering networks was performed with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software, which created a 3D model with fully parameterized and full digital project information.
Throughout the design, Autodesk Navisworks software was used, which allowed all individual 3D models to be combined into one common, comprehensive project analysis, real-time project modeling, accurate planning of materials, production processes, which saves time and money.
In 8 categories, the awards were shared by both public and private sector construction projects implemented using building information modeling (BIM) technology and methodology.
2019 The implemented BIM projects were evaluated taking into account the use of BIM for design solutions, ensuring sustainability and “green” construction, the use of innovative project information and the standards and methodologies used in the projects.
