Design of a pedestrian bridge over T. Narbuto str.

Year 2017

Kelprojektas will design a pedestrian and bicycle viaduct via T. Narbuto str. In Vilnius.

The design solutions for the construction of this pedestrian and bicycle viaduct were used for the first time in Lithuania. This is the first and only integral viaduct in Lithuania – its steel floor is concreted directly into the reinforced concrete supports, without the use of support bearings. The design of structures of such complexity (integral viaducts) allows our designers to compete in the international market.

The main goal of the pedestrian and bicycle viaduct, which is more than 67 m long and almost 7 m wide, was to eliminate the unregulated pedestrian crossing on T. Narbuto Street at the existing “black spot” public transport stop and to improve pedestrian and bicycle communication between adjacent residential areas without crossing highways. streets. The pedestrian and bicycle viaduct is adapted for people with disabilities and is convenient for parents with wheelchairs – it has ramps on both sides of the viaduct.
